Multimedia Experience

Birnbaum’s previous experience includes the Vanguard Hollywood which he operated from the year 2001 through 2009.

Birnbaum initially invested in Qtopia Events Inc., a company whose mission was to create multimedia production studio with an entertainment and music venue.

The company publicly launched in June 2002 with a twenty thousand square foot location on Hollywood Boulevard. Initial results for the company were disappointing and Jordan Birnbaum relocated to Los Angeles to assume operations and management at the end of 2002.

Facing overwhelming and difficult obstacles, Birnbaum was able to reach successful break even for the company by 2004. He also managed to obtain a liquor license. With his intuition and entrepreneurial vision and know-how, Birnbaum managed to re-launch Qtopia as Vanguard Hollywood. Vanguard went on to become a huge success, generating more than forty million dollars over the next five years.

Vanguard gained success in the Los Angeles, California area and inspired and altered the electronic music scene. Birnbaum worked with significant and famous industry heavyweights such as Electric Daisy Carnival, Giant and Deep and as a result the company exposed unprecedented talent to the city on a weekly basis.

Vanguard also became a regular destination for high-profile projects, including the first-ever run of the show “Rock of Ages,” as well as corporate launch parties for large international companies and brands including Motorola, Lexus and DreamWorks. Vanguard served as a venue for Hollywood premiere parties for movies and shows including “Borat,” “The Simpsons,” and “Fear Factor”. There were also significant and entertaining concerts with groups such as the Black-Eyed Peas and Wolfmother performing at the Vanguard Hollywood. All of this happened at the Vanguard under the direction of Jordan Birnbaum.

During the five years that Birnbaum managed and owned Vanguard, there were over 100 employees over this time period with minimal turnover. Birnbaum went onto sell Vanguard in 2009 and the venue and company are still in operation today.
